Child Care Demand Forecasts - Unlicensed (0-5 Years), 2011-2030

Provide Feedback
Child Care Demand forecasts estimate future demand for licensed and unlicensed/informal child care services for children between the ages of 0 to 5 years. Results for demand for licensed child care are calculated using child population forecasts based on the 2011 Census and consistent with the Regional Official Plan, past and current subsidized and full-fee enrolment, and 62 socio-demographic variables. Results for demand for unlicensed and informal child care are calculated using the results of licensed child care demand, child population forecasts, and child care participation rates reported in the 2010 Peel Senior Kindergarten Census (SKC).

Child care demand forecasts are reported for each year from 2011 to 2030 by single year of age for children aged 0 to 5 years. Demand forecasts are reported for Peel and area municipalities (Brampton, Caledon, and Mississauga) as well as for each of the 77 Service Delivery Areas (SDAs) (2012).
